Held annually in mid May, the community comes together to plant trees and enhance the local flora with a little TLC.
Garden of the Gods 10-Mile Run is an annual race held in mid June at the Garden of the Gods Park. Held annually in late July by the local police department, this 10K race runs through town and is open to all runners. Held in early July at Colorado Springs, is a must see event. Rodeo stars compete for status in the rodeo World Championships. Followed by a Parade through downtown. Beidleman Environmental Center stages this annual nature hike in late August. Stroll through Sondermann Park and learn about Colorado outdoors, followed by breakfast. This annual event, held each Labor Day weekend, has grown to be the largest hot air balloon festival in the Rocky Mountain Region. This is a family event and admission is free. Held annually in early to mid September, the Expo features brewers from all over Colorado plus bands and entertainment. The Annual Veterans Day Parade is held in the downtown area of Colorado Springs with bands, floats and a wide variety of entrants.
